– Where Disneyland Resort Guide Map collectors can unite and fans can reminisce. A complete guide/checklist to all Disneyland & Disney California Adventure Guide Maps.
Twenty five years ago today, Disney’s California Adventure opened it’s doors and all our map collecting expanded to another park. To celebrate, the park released a special limited edition map. The cover features the original California letters that were outside the gate and when unfolded features the original poster map that was available when the park opened. Thank you to group member Ramon for the pictures.
DCA has kicked off their Lunar New Year festival and with that we get a new map. It features the festival colors and Horace Horsecollar in Lunar New year attire. Disneyland is sticking with their January Mickey & Minnie map for the time being. The Lunar New Year festival goes all the way until February 22nd, so I expect these maps to stick around for that time. Also to note, there is a special Lunar New Year festival guide to collect too. Happy Collecting!
The Holidays are done and the parks are packing away their Christmas decorations. With that we get a look at both of the new 2026 maps with a great focus on the continuing 70th Celebration. Disneyland features Mickey & Minnie in their 70th best in front of the castle while DCA features a great new angle of the Carthay Circle Restaurant decked out in it’s 70th best. I estimate these maps will be out until January 22nd as Lunar New Year Festival begins on the 23rd at DCA. Happy Collecting!
We’re almost coming to the end of 2025 and it’s time to look ahead to 2026 and what maps we think the Disneyland Resort will release and when. Here’s my predictions based off what they’ve announced so far. The blue font maps will only happen if they decide to change both park’s maps using the same time frames, if not the map noted before will continue. What do you think? Am I missing anything?
The HolidayTime season officially kicked off at the Disneyland Resort on Friday, November 14th and with that we get new maps. Both parks are featuring Mickey & Minnie on the cover in their park appropriate holiday outfits. These maps should be out until the HolidayTime season ends on January 7th. There is also a special Holiday shopping guide for Downtown Disney along with a “Festival of Holidays” booklet for the food festival at DCA for you diehard collectors. Happy Holidays!!!
Sorry for the delay in updating. Life has been busy. We got bridge maps on November 1st and they should be out until November 13th as HolidayTime starts on Friday, November 14th. Disneyland features a classic shot of Haunted Mansion Holiday while DCA went with a (tired) shot of the Pixar Fun Wheel.
New maps came out Friday, the 22nd for HalloweenTime at the Disneyland Resort. Disneyland features Mickey & Minnie in their new Halloween outfits in front of the Mainstreet pumpkin. DCA features the Miguel puppet from the Plaza de la Familia.
Disneyland also got a new regular map that reflects the addition of the Walt show and a great new cover of the 70th castle. DCA’s regular map stayed the same. I’m assuming these will stick around until HalloweenTime starts on August 22nd but if any new ones show up, please let me know.
The resort did not disappoint with awesome covers for the special one day 70th Birthday maps. Both maps open up to a poster size replica of the original Disneyland concept art with different background color schemes. Disneyland features Walt’s last picture ever taken in Disneyland before he passed. He is with Mickey on the Main Street fire truck. DCA features Walt back in the day with original Mickey Mouse stuffed animals.
The Disneyland 70th Birthday celebration kicked off at Disneyland and DCA today and with that we get some new classy maps. Disneyland features the Paint the Night lead float while DCA features the new World of Color “Happiness” on the cover. Both feature the 70th Celebrate Happy logo. I’m assuming these will be out until July 16th as new additions like the Walt Disney animatronic coming to the Lincoln Theater will open on July 17th, the true birthday of Disneyland. Still also keeping my fingers crossed for some special one day 70th maps like they did for the 50th and 60th.
Also, just a heads up, there are these new Family guides that were also released. Just a fun kids version of the regular guide map. Picture below. Word from the park is they’re not easy to obtain as the normal guide maps. You can get more info and see more pictures of them HERE AT WDWNT.COM
