Some of you guys asked about the 2018 Food & Wine Festival.  Please note on this blog, I only collect and list all the guide maps that are available at the front gate AKA the main park maps.  Like the prior years they didn’t change the map at the front gate for the Food & Wine Festival, they just create a separate map that can be picked up within the festival itself.  Going forward, I will do my best to let you guys know if there are any special maps like this released.  Prior years, they used to do a separate map for each week of the Festival but this year it looks like they did one to cover the whole Festival which makes it easier on us collectors.  Here’s a pic of the cover, I don’t have a scan of the inside.  Happy Collecting!

 

Since the Lunar New Year celebration ended on Sunday, we got a new map yesterday for DCA.  If the cover looks familiar, it should.  It’s just a zoomed in version of the original Cars Land DCA map from when the land first opened back in 2012.  Disneyland is still sticking with the same Pretzel Girl map.  I’m assuming these maps will stick around until the Pixar Fest begins April 13th.

In a strange turn of events, DCA actually updated the cover of their maps to reflect the Lunar New Year Celebration.  The past several years, the practice had become to just use a standard map for the season and then just update the paper entertainment schedules to reflect the special events.  I like this way better as it gives us a better variety of maps to collect.  It’s safe to assume this map will be around until February 18th, so expect a new DCA map on the 19th.  The Disneyland map stayed the same.

Happy New Year!  2018 is here and along with it comes some new maps.  All I have to say I was shocked when I saw them.  No overused attraction or another version of Mickey and his Friends.  This time they went with two small kids in ears.  Although they maybe too much on the cutesy cheesy side, I do have to say I like them because they’re finally something different.  Disneyland went with a girl in Minnie ears holding a Mickey Pretzel over her face in front of the Castle while DCA went with a boy in Mickey ears being carried in front of Mickey’s Fun Wheel.  Also, DCA’s map inside shows the updated route around the Paradise Pier remodel and doesn’t list Mickey’s Fun Wheel or California Screamin’ in the ride detail.
