It seems Disneyland did an update on the inside of the maps. The cover and codes are still the same, they just added all the Star Wars Attractions to the Tomorrowland section of the map.

This past Friday, the Disneyland Resort released the Holiday maps for the Season. It is nice to see Disneyland use a new photo which features the great lighting display on Small World. Meanwhile, California Adventure went and used an archive photo they debuted back in 2013 of Cars Land with the Christmas Decorations.

Codes are DLP-110215-ENG (Disneyland forgot to change code again) & DCA-111315-ENG
I love these new maps!!! Since these November maps are only out for 2 weeks and mainly just issued as a bridge from the Halloween Maps to the Holiday Maps, the Resort normally just pulls some old generic images of a ride from their archives. This time they went above and beyond. These covers should have been the maps this Summer. These covers are much more visually appealing than the Cars Truck. Kudos to Disney for some awesome maps for this short time period.
Now this question, since the new Stars Wars event opens November 16th which is around the same time the Holiday offerings comes out (November 13th), will we see a Stars Wars Cover or a Generic Holiday Cover on the Disneyland Map? We’ll see soon…
They are also finally back to the normal map coding. Codes on these new maps are DLP-110215-ENG and DCA-110215-ENG
Today the 2015 Halloween maps were released. I wish they would do something other than Haunted Mansion Holiday and Tower or Terror but I also get that those are their two main Halloween attractions. The Disneyland Map is using the same exact cover from 2013 but California Adventure used a different angle and a nightime lighted up version of Tower of Terror. Also, a interesting use of codes for these two maps. Disneyland’s code is Guidemap_DLP_Halloween and California Adventure forgot to change the code on theirs and is using the same one from the Summer maps – DCA-071815-ENG. Halloween Time runs until November 1st so I would assume we’ll see new maps November 2nd that will run only two weeks until Holiday Time starts on November 13th. Happy Halloween Time! 🙂
Well, I was really hoping we would get some new covers for the Summer 2015 maps but the Resort decided to stick with the ‘Paint The Night’ and ‘World of Color.’ It’s disappointing that there is no reference to the 60th or Diamond Celebration on the cover of the maps like they did with the 50th Anniversary or even with the “Year of a Million Dreams.” Heck, they could have even just left the Diamond Celebration Guide Maps headers at the top of each map on there from the special one day July 17th maps. I’m assuming these guides will stick through the Summer. Perhaps we’ll see some new ones for September but I’m guessing these will stick around until the Halloween Time maps arrive.
The codes are DLP-071815-ENG & DCA-071815-ENG
The parks repeated what they did for the 50th Anniversary and issued special one day maps for their 60th Birthday on Friday, July 17th, 2015. Both maps folded open to feature the current park maps but the best feature was they folded open even bigger to a poster size replica of the original 1955 map with Doc on the cover. Another cool feature is you can fold the map inside out and it will fold up exactly like the original map did. Great historic shots of Walt delivering the dedication speech and Carathay Theatre back in the hay day when Walt debuted Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on the covers.
The codes are DLP-071715-ENG & DCA-071715-ENG
To all that come to my Map Blog, Welcome!

Disneyland Maps? You mean those paper maps you grab at the gate, fold up, stick in your pocket and end up throwing away at the end of the day. No, not me! I love them and collect them! I know there are probably cooler Disney items to collect. Pins? Dolls? Stuffed Animals? Mickey Ears? No, I collect the ultimate free souvenir that you can always go back to. As Walt wanted it, Disneyland will always change and grow, so to have these mementos and see what came before is awesome. I started collecting about 20 years ago and continue to this day, I’m constantly checking to see if the parks release a new map and I’m always looking for other collectors who hopefully have the same obsession that are willing to trade and share their collection.
I want to share my collection with everyone in hopes this becomes a community where everyone can connect, trade or just admire the maps of the past.

Disneyland Resort Maps I’m Missing
As you can imagine, it’s hard to collect all the maps especially when the parks produced weekly / bi-weekly maps. Perhaps you can help with my collection. Do you have extras? Do you have a box of them you no longer want? Do you want to trade? Please see my list of maps I’m missing and let’s talk (email me at DLRMapCollector@yahoo.com).
