One Day Map? And HalloweenTime is here

Wow, DCA released a one day map. Since the new San Fransokyo Square opened officially yesterday, DCA released a map dated 8/31 and had the concept art of the new bridge on it. We thought that was strange because HalloweenTime maps are due to come out today 9/1. So, that San Fransokyo map came and went as the HalloweenTime maps came out today and Disneyland features a dusk version of the Mickey Pumpkin on Mainstreet and DCA features the Headless Horseman statue which is a new cover. Happy Collecting!

Thank you group member James Dempsey for the scoop and pictures.

New DCA Map – Debut of “Rogers – The Musical”

With the debut of “Rogers – The Musical” in the Hyperion Theater today, we got a new DCA Map. Disneyland staying with the current Magic Happens Parade cover so no change there. My guess is these will last through the remainder of the Summer until Halloween maps debut in September.

Farewell Splash Mountain, new DL map as of 05/31

With Splash Mountain’s closure on May 30th, we received a new map on 5/31 with a new Magic Happens Parade cover and a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Coming 2024! logo over the former Splash Mountain (see below). DCA’s map stayed the same but I assume they will change theirs June 30th when the Roger’s Musical opens and perhaps both of these new maps will stick through the Summer!?!

New Maps for April

Now that the Food & Wine Festival has ended at DCA, we got some new maps for BOTH parks. Disneyland features a real time shot of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway instead of the concept art and DCA now features a nighttime view of World of Color and the Pixar Wheel. I’m assuming these will be out until the end of May when Splash Mountain closes.

Just a reminder, we launched dlrmaps.boards.net message boards so you can all now communicate with other collectors to arrange trades, sells or talk about your collections.

ToonTown is Back and Food & Wine finally gets a Map!

We got new maps yesterday as ToonTown reopened at Disneyland. This also led the resort to finally give DCA a Food & Wine Festival map. Disneyland features a concept art of “Runaway Railway” ride while DCA features Chef Goofy for the Food & Wine Festival. I’m not sure how long these will last. The Food & Wine Festival goes all the way until April 25th so we’ll definitely have to see a new DCA map after that. The Disneyland map may last until Splash Mountain closes which a date hasn’t been announced yet.

The Start of the Disney100 Celebration

The Disney100 Celebration kicked off today with the debut of the Wonderous Firework show at Disneyland and World of Color One at DCA but more importantly the debut of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Toontown. The Disneyland map is featuring the Castle adorned with the Disney100 decorations and now features part of Toontown on the map. One gripe, they’re showing it with the castle concept art but the actual fairies and banner hanging on the castle today do not feature the green, pink and purple colors. Everything is the platinum color on the actual castle. The DCA map is featuring the new World of Color One show.

The “Magic Happens” parade returns to Disneyland February 24th, Food & Wine Festival returns to DCA March 3rd, Toontown opens fully in Disneyland March 8th and we have yet to get a closing date for Splash Mountain. So, since they didn’t bother with a Lunar New Year DCA map this year, I’m thinking these maps will hang around for awhile. My guess, we’ll get new maps with Toontown fully reopening March 8th. Happy Collecting!

2023 Maps!!!

I’m still waiting on the official scans but wanted to share a quick scan of the new map covers. They’re beautiful!!! Disneyland features King Arthur Carrousel while DCA features the Pixar Fun Wheel. Codes are DLR-010923-ENG and DCA-010923-ENG. These should probably only be out until Thursday the 19th as Lunar New Year starts at DCA begins on the 20th so get them now. Plus we have the Disney 100 with it’s new firework and WOC shows starting on the 27th so maps may change a lot in the next month. Also, the 27th brings Runaway Railway to Disneyland so it will be cool to see how the maps look.

HolidayTime is here!!!

HolidayTime at the Resort is here and we got some new maps. Disneyland features an updated picture of the snow covered Castle while DCA features dancers from the Festival of Holidays street show. I got to say, not a big fan of the DCA cover. Just seems like a poorly aimed shot to choose to be a cover of a map. For those who collect the other guides; there is a Festival of Holidays taste passport with a small map included inside and there is also a Downtown Disney Holiday shopping map. I’m assuming these maps will stick through the whole HolidayTime season which ends on January 8th, 2023. Fingers cross we get some awesome 100 years of Wonder maps when that celebration begins on January 27th.
